The peninsula’s most beautiful and popular attractions, its rich cultural heritage and hidden trails are all just a few minutes away from the resort – perfect for exploring on foot, by bike or on the water.
The abbey is the iconic landmark of the peninsula, and it’s no exaggeration to say the view of Lake Balaton from here is among the most beautiful. Visit the Baroque church and the historic crypt, then take a pleasant stroll through the old village with its charming thatched houses. Enjoy a coffee on Echo Hill (Visszhang-domb) or treat yourself to artisan lavender ice cream near one of the village’s many lavendar shops – this is the true Tihany experience.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet in natural surroundings, this is the perfect spot. The walking trails around the Inner Lake offer complete relaxation, while the Watchtower Lookout offers a breathtaking 360° panorama of the entire region. It’s especially magical at sunset, when the light dancing on the water is at its most spectacular.
This interactive exhibition invites you to discover the natural secrets of the peninsula. Learn how this unique landscape was formed and sample everything to do with lavender. It’s a great family activity if you want something interesting to do away from the beach
There are several Nordic walking tours from Club Tihany Resort, where we can discover the hidden treasures of the peninsula. Nordic walking combines the benefits of walking, running and cross-country. An important difference compared to walking is the use of sticks, which give dynamics, rhythm and also intensively work the muscles of the upper body.

Geyser Cones (Aranyház) – take a short detour to see these unique rock formations and remnants from the volcanic age (approx. 20 minutes).

Örvényes Watermill – a lovely historic detour by the stream (approx. 40 minutes).
Balatonfüred and the Tagore Promenade – stop for coffee or ice cream under the waterfront’s shady plane trees (approx. 35 minutes).
Csopak Beach and lookouts – perfect for a short break with breathtaking panoramas (approx. 60 minutes)
